Lipstick Jungle

I missed Lipstick Jungle when it was shown on TV so I am probably a couple of years late with this post... but I just have to say that they look amazing in every episode! The clothes, the hair and make up, the jewellery! I love it! I want to look like Nico, Victory and Wendy all together at the same time.

Don't worry - be happy!

 During this time of the year it seems like everyone is wearing black, grey and other dull colours. I need lively and happy colours now! Especially after a day like this (my closest friends now why...) so let's have a look at some gorgeous happy, smiling girls in colourful outfits!

Scented candles

Please let this winter soon be over! It's dark when I wake up and it's dark when I step out of the office in the evening...I am struggling to pass the day.. Thank god there are candles! Especially scented candles are nice during the winter and for me they work in all different scents; fresh laundry, vanilla, orange, oriental, musk...

Zanzibar Spices from Baobab is one of the best for cozy winters.

Kelly Hoppen

One of my favourite interior designers is Kelly Hoppen. Her style is elegant and sleek but at the same time playful, with different materials and forms. She is mostly working with discreet colours as beige, white, black and brown but you can sometimes see accent colours such as orange and yellow, colours that I have now introduced in my own home. The first picture is from her home in London.

Cooking with style

The Italian American tv chef Giada de Laurentiis can do it - she is cooking with style. I have just discovered her in the January issue of the Us magazine InStyle (even though she started already in 2003) and watched some short cuts from her programme and so far I can say that I like it! She is beautiful, has style and make the cooking look so interesting and fun. On top of it she is making delicious Italian food!

It's too cold!

-3 °C is too cold... I would like to be on this beach instead..

The picture is taken in the Dominican Republic a couple of years ago. I stayed at a nice all inclusive hotel in Punta Cana where the sun was shining every day and where the rhum and coconut drinks were for free..

The Spa

Breakfast under the sun

The hotel's lounge was in colonial style; dark wood and white fabrics. Here you could spend hours listening to lounge music and be served the best fresh grinded coffee or fruit cocktails with names as Banana Mama and Coco Loco.

The bathrooms were so in style - very important!

Pimp your furniture

I like the idea of remaking your things; it could be furniture, clothes, shoes, bags etc. That's why I thought I should add a label called (with a little sense of humour..) Pimp your...


I found this sideboard in a second hand shop for 30 euros and sprayed it in high gloss black.

Last summer when I was in Sweden I bought the nice fabric "Moments" from the Finnish design company Marimekko and put it on a homemade frame. The measures are 140x200 - quite large but it really gives the room a nice athmosphere!

If you want to pimp your bathroom's shower curtain you can easily put on some satin ribbons to give it a new look!

Restaurant interior

One part of eating out is to get the right atmosphere. It doesn't have to be a very chic restaurant but the most important is that you can feel some kind of thought behind the chosen style or at least that it's cozy.

Recently I have visited some restaurants that have really nice food and interior, first out is Hush in London.

In Luxemburg one of my favourite restaurants both when it comes to food and interior is Lux E Cosi. Best on the menu is the smoked tuna (served in a little basket) - delicious !

Two weeks ago I went for the first time to the quite new restaurant SoboGusto and was surprised by the original interior and the impressive high ceiling!
